I made this slideshow at PictureTrail.com. These are just some photos I've taken of stuff that I think is pretty. Picture Trail was super easy to use and the photos didn't take long to upload at all. I've used slide show makers before for Myspace but the options on Picture Trail were pretty neat.

Thing 8 Communication Web 2.0 Style

I used to use IM quite a bit. I had a Yahoo Messenger account as well as AOL and MSN. I haven't used any of them in a few years. Most of the people I was in contact with via messenger stopped using it as well. I guess with all the viruses and bugs out there, people are skeptical about downloading programs onto their pc's off of the internet. I am. As for text messaging....I JUST DONT GET IT. I mean, I get it. I get the concept of it. I just don't understand the phenominon of text messaging recently. Why would you want to cramp up your fingers on those tiny phone keys when it's SO much easier to dial a number and push send??? TTYL :)

I made this magazine cover at Big Huge Labs. This Thing was a lot of fun. Playing around with all the image generators was really interesting and they seem to be useful tools. I can't wait to play around with some more pictures!

Flicker is so cool! I have never actually used it before, but it seems really simple. It was super easy to create my account since I am already a yahoo user. I can't wait to take a few snapshots to upload.

Finally! I can quit pretending to know what RSS is..because I really do know now! It's the coolest thing ever! And signing up for the Google reader was really simple.

Thing Three

Trying to play catch up! I can't believe how far behind I've gotten! I searched a few things on Technorati, but most of the results I found weren't really relevant. I prefer google.

Thing 2: Library 2.0

Ok. Thing 2 has a LOT of information to take in. I read the articles and watched the video, but I haven't completely wrapped my mind around it just yet. There are a lot of good points though...libraries are definitly changing, and have changed drastically even in my lifetime. I remember going to the library as a child....there were no card catalog computers...you opened one of the many drawers on the HUGE card catalog cabinet, and searched by hand for what you were looking for. Seems like the dark ages compared to now. :)

So I have officially waited until the last minute to begin my 23 Things. Better late than never, right? It's amazing how someone who talks as incredibly much as I do can sit at this screen and think of nothing to say.

I am excited about beginning the 23 Things. Thing 1 was going pretty easily until I tried to come up with something to say! I'm looking forward to the next 22!
